Hibs launched Kicks for Kids in 2002 and invited businesses and individuals to purchase season tickets which could be used by children’s charities and organisations for all league games. The only downside to this worthy endeavour is that each Kicks for Kids season ticket costs £85 and a minimum of two have to be purchased (one for the child and one for the adult accompanying them), so permission was granted by Hibs for a fund where donations are pooled and the corresponding amount of tickets purchased. Fundraising then continues until more tickets can be bought and therefore all donations, and no matter how small, can and will make a difference.
The great benefit of this initiative is that there is no set amount that has to be donated so, in our opinion, it’s a win-win scenario.
**We have now raised over £90,000 and in total, we’ve purchased 1,189 season tickets**
***We were humbled and proud to be one of two funds chosen by Lewis Stevenson to benefit from his testimonial activities. Hibs class indeed from the Scottish and League Cup winner***
******Many thanks to the Hanlon Stevenson Foundation for their continued support and assistance******
